Quarlo Bridin

Quarlo Bridin was a politician wanted in several star systems for influence selling and corruption. Fleeing to the planet Gallienis IV, he convinced the local population that he could use his influence with the Galactic Empire to protect them. In truth, Bridin had no contacts with the Empire, and used the situation surrounding the Imperial Civil War to make good on his promise. At the same time, he used the threat of turning the planet over to the Empire to keep the New Republic at bay. However, Bridin was aware that his deceit might not last and cut a deal with the Hutt kajidics. In exchange for deflector shield technology, the Hutts gained a foothold in the sector.
