Quad-helix prismatic crystal
A quad-helix prismatic crystal was a type of crystal. They were fitted into laser actuators to generate laser blasts. The structure of the crystal eroded with every shot fired, and crystals were generally replaced after 45,000 shots. Taim & Bak used quad-helix prismatic crystals in their KX9 laser cannons, which were used on Incom Corporation's T-65 X-wing starfighter.[1]
