Polonium
Polonium was an element that was mined. Polonium was used with uranium in the UP236-TDC explosive. The uranium/polonium-236 tactical demolition charge used a small disc of enriched uranium and a wedge of polonium surrounded by high-yield shape charges that were designed to induce nuclear fusion through kinetic force.
