A parka was a type of clothing worn in cold weather environments.

History

Parkas were utilized during the Clone Wars by the non-clone trooper personnel whenever stationed on frigid planets. Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker wore them while investigating Glid Station on Orto Plutonia, a Republic outpost that had failed to check in. Captain Kendall Ozzel and Jedi Masters Tauht, Koon and Fisto all wore parkas during the Battle of Khorm.

Lando Calrissian wore a electrically heated parka on Rafa V in 5 BBY. It had a thermoknob that could be used to adjust the heating setting. The maximum setting was Emergency Full.

Almost all of the Rebel Alliance personnel stationed at Echo Base on Hoth wore some form of parka to protect themselves from the harsh icy conditions of that world.
