The Paonnid were a sentient species from the known galaxy. In 9 ABY, while wandering on a marketplace on the planet of Bimmisaari, the New Republic hero Han Solo spotted a being who looked like a Paonnid among the crowd.

They produced extrassa art similar to that of the Saffa and the pre-Em Vaathkree.
