37th Detachment
- "My detachment of stormtroopers is relieving the Thirty-seventh Detachment that has been stationed at Mos Eisley on Tatooine."
- ―Zeta Squadron's Captain Mod Terrik, on his unit's assignment replacing the 37th Detachment
The 37th Detachment was a unit of the Galactic Empire's Stormtrooper Corps. The stormtrooper unit was stationed in[1] the city of Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine[2] by 0 BBY. In that year,[3] another stormtrooper unit,[2] Zeta Squadron, relieved the 37th Detachment at Mos Eisley.[1]
Behind the scenes
The 37th Detachment was first mentioned in 1995's "When the Desert Wind Turns: The Stormtrooper's Tale," written by Doug Beason as part of the 1995 anthology book Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina.[2] In 2007, the StarWars.com Visual Guide "Chapter 7: Land of the Jawas" once more mentioned the unit, referring to them as the "37th Detachment."[4]
