The New Academy for Space Pilots was a Rebel Alliance flight academy located on an unidentified planet.
History
The New Academy for Space Pilots was commanded by Rebel Alliance General Oleson.[2] It was responsible for training the pilots of the Planetary Pioneers.[1]
Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, Luke Skywalker attended the New Academy for Space Pilots as a member of the Planetary Pioneers. During that time, he was responsible for destroying a maverick moon on a collision course with the planet housing the academy. Following the moon's destruction through the use of Zukonium rays, Princess Leia Organa awarded Skywalker a medal of honor for saving the planet and the academy.[1]
