My Star
"My Star" was a song commonly sung by Catarine Towani to her daughter, Cindel, during Cindel's early childhood. Following her mother's death, Cindel sang the song to Noa Briqualon, her new guardian. The lyrics were as follows:
- My star keeps me company, and leads me through the night.
- My star watches over me, and fills my dreams with light.
- Some things change, but some things shine forever as they are.
- In the sky, shining high... my star.[1]
Behind the scenes
The song "My Star" was composed by Jeff Moss for the 1985 made-for-TV film Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, in which it was performed by the Welsh actress Siân Phillips.[2]
