Mutant Womprat
The mutant womprat was a large womp rat that lived on Tatooine in 0 BBY. It was believed to be the result of unspecified radiation testing carried out at a secret Imperial base. It escaped the laboratory and terrorized Tusken Raiders for months prior to the Battle of Yavin.
Behind the scenes
The mutant womprat appears in the game Super Star Wars as boss of Level 6: Land of the Banthas, fought by Luke Skywalker. The creature was accompanied by several smaller womp rats.
