The Mission to Vorzyd IV was undertaken by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi in 40 BBY.

Prelude

While Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn were at the Jedi Temple, the the people of Vorzyd IV asked for assistance in a matter concerning sabotage against their monitoring systems.

The Mission

When the two Jedi arrived at the planet, they met with Chairman Port. He told them that someone had been sabotaging their monitoring systems and it was causing problems for their work. After much investigation. The Jedi learned it was a group called the Freelies who were doing the sabotaging. The group was being lead by the chairman's own son, Grath. The group wanted to change their parents "Work-only" lifestyle to a more easy one. Believing that a more perfect society could be achieved by balancing work and recreation. Many believe that their reason was because of their close connection with the "Gambler's World," Vorzyd V, which had many casinos and amusement parks. Nevertheless, they would assist Obi-Wan and his master, Qui-Gon in restoring peace to the planet.[1]

Aftermath

The two groups would live together in peace for a quite some time. Afterward, in the wake of the great destruction of the Jedi Order and the establishment of the Galactic Empire, the Freelies began attacks on neighboring planet Vorzyd V. They captured C-3PO while Luke Skywalker was present on the planet, and they began a debacle with a group of Imperial stormtroopers, resulting in many deaths.[4]
