Minilab
A minilab was capable of analyzing chemical and biological samples, although with less accuracy than laboratory facilities aboard starships. It could give a scout a rough analysis of of a substance's elemental structure, age and secondary compounds. It was also effective at storing samples under laboratory conditions until they could be transferred to a better facility.
