"Screamer" active jammer
The "Screamer" active jammer was a sensor jammer manufactured by Bertriak, and was commonly found installed on Incom Corporation's T-65 X-wing starfighter,[1] where it was commonly paired with a Carbanti United Electronics universal transceiver package. The "Screamer" disguised the starfighter's ion drive emissions, in turn disrupting the sensor systems of enemy fighters,[2] such as TIE/LN starfighters.[1] It was also capable of interfering with the homing computers aboard concussion missiles and proton torpedoes,[2] but was not powerful enough to jam military-grade sensors.[1]
