Merrik was a male Human who served in the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

In 0 ABY, he fought alongside Jalose and other resistance fighters against the Imperial occupation, lead by Governor Grigor on the planet M'haeli. He followed orders from Princess Leia Organa, who had taken a personal interest in the uprising on the planet.

Merrik dies in the explosion of the Dragite mine.

Although he had feelings for Jalose, Merrik appeared to be attracted to Mora, a new recruit to the rebellion on M'haeli. After Governor Grigor captured Mora and revealed her to be a direct descendant of the planets royal family, he was amongst the first to volunteer for the rescue party being put together by former Imperial officer Ranulf Trommer

He mistrusted Ranulf to the end, but in a mission to destroy an Imperial controlled Dragite crystal mine, he sacrificed himself to allow both Trommer and Mora to escape.
