Mantessa
Mantessa was a planet in the Orus sector of the Inner Rim. The world was encased in forests and treacherous jungles. The wilderness was extremely dangerous due to the existence of Mantessan panthacs, predatory animals who stalked and killed quite efficiently in their home environment.
During the Yuuzhan Vong War, a force of Fire Breathers were driven off the planet by the Orange Panthacs.
Behind the scenes
The PC game Star Wars: Rebellion mistakenly places the Orus sector and, consequently, Mantessa, in the Outer Rim Territories. The in-game encyclopedia entry for Mantessa also implies the world is entirely covered by jungle, with no mention of forestry.
