Magnetic flashback suppressor/Legends
The magnetic flashback suppressor[2] was a parabolic shaped dish that was affixed to the end of a KX9 laser cannon manufactured by Taim & Bak. The cannons were part of the armaments of Incom Corporation's T-65 X-wing starfighter,[1] and the curved shape of the suppressors were very recognizable.[3] The suppressors reflected excess laser energy produced by the laser tip away from the laser barrel and fuselage of a starfighter.[1] The suppressors also safeguarded the cannon from the occasional unstable laser bolt.[2]
