Low-frequency transmitter
A low-frequency transmitter was a communications device. The Alliance to Restore the Republic employed a low-frequency transmitter at the Mortex Sector HQ on Fangol to communicate with the artificial moon in geosynchronous orbit with the base. Due to Fangol's atmosphere, communications and sensors would not penetrate from the surface installation, necessitating the moon to handle the such tasks.
