Lake Spirit of Mimban

An amorphous, translucent, and phosphorescent creature, the Lake-spirit inhabited the subterranean waterways of the planet Mimban. It sent out tentacle-like psuedopods to grasp prey. It had a rudimentary nervous system which would reabsorb the pseudopods in the presence of adverse stimuli (such as lightsabers).
While traveling into Coway territory beneath the surface of Mimban in 2 ABY, Princess Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker were attacked by a Lake-spirit. It managed to pull Luke Skywalker under the water, but then retreated, possibly due to an aversion to Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber.
