The Kraken was an Assassin-class corvette that formed part of the Corrupter Task Force under Imperial Admiral Garreth Holtz. The ship was commanded by Captain Ollender.

The Kraken served as an escort for the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Corrupter during the latter's hunt for the Defiance Task Force in 3 ABY. She was ambushed along with her task force when two Rebel A-wings raided the fleet in an attempt to prevent the launch of Imperial Probe droids.
