Kiliad marble was a type of marble.
History
During 1.5 ABY, an Anchorhead resident named Vardias Tyne had an artist sculpt a bantha statue out of kiliad marble. He had a spacer deliver the bantha statue to Brother Chonar of the Dim-U monks, as forgiveness for killing a bantha that was attacking his vaporators. Upon receiving the statue, Chonar claimed that the gift conveyed the respect for the majesty of banthas.[1]
Behind the scenes
Vardias Tyne was a Non-Player Character (NPC) in the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies. Players who performed a series of quests for Vardias in Anchorhead had to deliver a bantha statue to Chonar. In the quest dialogue, Vardias Tyne mentioned that the bantha statue was made out of a piece of kiliad marble. Although the player could choose not to do Vardias Tyne's quests, this article assumes 100% game completion.[1]
