Kathor
- "All other hull plating is a duranium–kathor composite, capable of withstanding up to 75 Gs without alluvial dampening affects."
- ―The protocol droid C-D20 describes the Helix-class light interceptor
Kathor was a substance used in starship manufacturing. A kathor–duranium composite was used to make the majority of the hull plating on Helix-class light interceptors, which were vessels designed and made by starship manufacturer Arakyd Industries. The plating was capable of withstanding seventy–five Gs without alluvial dampening affects.[1]
Behind the scenes
Kathor was mentioned in 1995 in the article "A Buyer's Guide to Alternative Starships," which was published in the fifth issue of the Star Wars Adventure Journal series of supplement books for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The article was written by Stephen Luminati.[1]
