The Kashyyyk treeworm, taking its name from the forested planet of Kashyyyk, was a creature that produced silk. This material could be found near the planet of Bespin and its tensile strength had no equal in that region as of[1] 3 ABY.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Kashyyyk treeworm was mentioned in the flavor text of a card from the Star Wars Customizable Card Game's Cloud City Limited expansion set, released in 1997.[1]
