Jeron was a manufacturing company. They made anything from Fusion Cutters to hydrospanners.
Behind the scenes
The company Jeron was invented by Justin Chin to explain the weapon's name in the Star Wars: Dark Forces game. As he said, the name just popped up suddenly in his head without any meaning or significance, when it was needed to find one and print the manual.
