The Irradiator Booth was a model of containment unit manufactured by Synthtech Medtech Corporation. A larger unit, it used broad-spectrum radiation, ultrasonics, and other methods to sterlize objects placed in the box to kill bacteria, viruses and other contagions. The unit needed to be hooked up to a starship's power system and could be used to sterilize enviro-suits and bulkier items.[1]
