The Imperial Exploration Corps was a branch of the Imperial Navy tasked with the exploration of known regions of the galaxy to locate planets which could be used to supply either resources or personnel. They were a sister branch of the Imperial Survey Corps. Its primary training establishment was the Imperial Exploration Academy in the Vanik system.
