Imperial Customs Bureau seals were adhesive strips of plastic that were used by the Imperial Customs Bureau to seal containers. They were applied once the contents were searched and found to be legal. This would allow the containers to pass through other customs stations without having to be opened and re-examined.

The seals were coated in a bonding agent that hardened after 30 seconds. Once applied, any attempts to alter or remove the seals would damage a small embedded container of dissolving compounds that would render the seal useless. They could be read by a standard code scanner unit.
