Herb Trimpe (May 26, 1939April 13, 2015) was a comic book artist who worked on a few issues of the Marvel Star Wars series. Trimpe joined Marvel Comics in the late 1960s and worked on a number of titles, most notably The Incredible Hulk where he co-created the character Wolverine. Trimpe was let go by Marvel as the company was having financial troubles in 1996. He was also an ordained deacon and wrote a book called The Power of Angels about his experiences as a chaplain during the months following the terrorist attacks in New York on September 11, 2001.
