Grand Computer

The Grand Computer was installed within the Jedi Library of the Lost City of the Jedi, a subterranean terraforming station and secret city built by the Jedi of old on Yavin 4. Most of the library's records were in files contained within that master computer, although others were handwritten on manuscripts or printed in books. The Grand Computer was thought to be exhaustive, collecting the knowledge of all civilizations and the history of all planets and moons inhabited by sentient species. Millennia after its creation, the computer was updated by the droid caretakers of the Lost City of the Jedi, who regularly visited the surface to collect new information.

In 5 ABY, the Grand Computer was accidentally destroyed by one of the stormtroopers who was trapped inside the Library by the Rebel Alliance forces along with group of Imperial agents led by the so-called Supreme Prophet of the Dark Side Kadann.
