Golnca was a term of respect among the Ibhaan'I, translating to "grandfather." When meeting an Ibhaan'I shaman in the Doaba Badlands, greeting them as "golnca" and respectfully bowing the head showed deference and the respect due an elder. The display of deference resulted in a blessing of fortune and protection from the shaman.[1]
