Gideon served in the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Special Forces during the Galactic Civil War. During Operation Cobolt, Gideon and Colonel Toombs were in command of the assault teams that would be entering the Imperial orbital base over Mantooine during an attempt to recover an Imperial Intelligence Scandoc coding computer.
