Gate Coupling
A Gate Coupling[1] or gate coupler[2] was a bonded lock coupler that held the laser tip and magnetic flashback suppressor in perfect alignment with the barrel of the laser cannon on a T-65 X-wing starfighter. The Coupling allowed ground crews to quickly replace the laser tip and flashback suppressor. They were nearly as expensive to purchase as the tip and suppressor combined.[1]
