A garnet crystal was a rare kind of tasar crystal that had the ability to turn an individual Force-sensitive and to imbue them with a specific Force power after several months of attunement. The garnet crystal was red, brown, and yellow in color, and had the ability to grant an individual the power of Control Another's Pain.[1]
