Galven coil

Galven coils were a type of technology used in energy-based weapons such as laser cannons. The coils served to focus the energy released into a coherent beam of focused plasma capable of causing damage to a target. Such coils were used specifically in the Taim and Bak medium laser cannon used by the T-65 X-wing starfighters.
