Force Cylinder
A force cylinder was a device that allowed life-forms to transfer from one ship to another through space without linking the ships together physically. A force field created the tube, sealing it against the hull of the two ships. While not foolproof, force cylinders were considered one of the most reliable intra-ship travel technologies of the New Republic.
