Flare gun
A flare gun or flare pistol[1] was a device used to launch a flare of light into the air to signal for help when in distress or to notify of the user's location. After the Battle of Alderaan, hundreds of Republic troopers used Flare guns to alert the Republic Navy after the victory over the Sith Empire on the planet Alderaan.[2]

A Flare gun prop is included in the Collectors Edition of Star Wars: The Old Republic[3] as well as the Digital Upgrade Pack.[4]
