The Endor tracking station was an abandoned research outpost converted by the Rebel Alliance to monitor ships throughout the system. The station first detected the arrival of a squadron of Nagai starfighters shortly before their assault on the planet. During that assault, a group of Maccabree warriors attacked Princess Leia Organa and her Zeltron aides at the tracking station before Luke Skywalker arrived and forced them to retreat.
