Duracable
Duracables were a type of cable used during the reign of the New Republic. Four duracables were used to hold up a Mobquet Nebulon-R Racer swoop bike in the Binary Bar on the planet Venaari. The cables were severed by the Human thief Sienn Sconn who shot them with a wrist laser gauntlet, causing the bike to swing down into an Imperial Stormtrooper attempting to shoot at him in the bar and pin him to the floor.[1]
Behind the scenes
Duracables first appeared in the short story One of a kind written by Paul Danner and originally published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 5 in 1995 and then later republished as a Hyperspace article in 2004.
