Double-helix prismatic crystal
A double-helix prismatic crystal was fitted to laser cannons to generate a laser beam. Double-helix prismatic crystals has an estimated lifespan of 20,000 shots before needing replacement, as each bolt eroded the crystal slightly when fired.
