Dissuader KD-30
The Dissuader KD-30 was a highly specialized slugthrower produced by Kelvarek Consolidated Arms and used during the reigns of the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire and the New Republic. The weapon fired hollow slugs filled with acid, which were capable of dissolving armor, flesh and bone. KD-30s cost 350, and needed to be reloaded every ten shots, firing to a maximum range of 100 meters.
Description
The KD-30 slugthrower pistol was a small model of highly specialized slugthrower pistol, which weighed 1.4 kilograms.[2] With a range of 100 meters,[1] it fired metal-coated slugs which were hollow and filled with borless acid. The contents of these projectiles would eat through any armor that it struck, as well as flesh and bone. Ten of these slugs could be fired before a KD-30 needed to be reloaded.[2]
History
Produced by Kelvarek Consolidated Arms, the KD-30 required a permit to use and sold for 350, with the ammunition costing
100 per ten slugs.[2] The weapons were available in the period following the year 1000 BBY,[3] during the reign of the Galactic Republic, and continued to be used into the reign of the Galactic Empire and later the New Republic.[2]
