Crinya-class freighter
The Crinya-class freighter was a light freighter used during the reign of the Galactic Empire.
Characteristics
The Crinya-class freighter was produced by Gallofree Yards, Inc. until sometime between 10 to 6 BBY.[2] At 29.2 meters in length, it could handle around 90 metric tons of cargo and required at least a crew of two to operate efficiently - though a single individual could make do in an emergency.[1]
History
One such Crinya-class freighter was used by the Rebel Alliance. The modified Planet Jumper was assigned to the Trax sector and fought during the Battle of Bissillirus. It was used to help steal stored food supplies and an Imperial convoy.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Crinya-class freighter first appeared as a picture in the West End Games' Star Wars Gamemaster Kit. It was seen in the last chapter of the Trax sector campaign, which described the Battle of Bissillirus. It was not until the campaign was republished in the Classic Campaigns supplement, that the ship was identified. Classic Campigns greatly expanded the last chapter and added several details to the battle, as well as the Crinya-class freighter, Planet Jumper.
