Credit Denied was a short story slated to appear in the cancelled Star Wars Adventure Journal 16, written by George R. Strayton.[source?] The story synopsis was that Rendra Maex and her partner, Nopul Etrefa, run into crimelord Oro Memis and his henchman Vakir'sa'jaina at a temple. Maex's partner is killed by the thug's blasters, and Maex is forced into a deathmatch by a Weequay announcer, Pon Svale. She is chained to a pole and is about to be shot, but manages to escape.
