The Cracknel was a popular appetizer. In 4 ABY, Jabba the Hutt's personal chef Porcellus considered serving cracknels to his master.[2]

Behind the scenes

The cracknel would have made its first visual appearance in the unreleased and non-canon series Star Wars Detours, where they were depicted as a kind of blue-colored finger food served at Dex's Diner sometime before the Battle of Yavin. Leia Organa had eaten it regularly there since she was a young child. She enjoyed eating it with plenty of pepper.[3]
