The Comark Brooch was a family heirloom of the Comark family. It was passed down to the females of the family, and during the height of the Galactic Empire, it had come into the possession of Lady Amber Comark, who received it on her birthday. The brooch had the Comark family crest incribed on the back. During Operation Death-Hunter, Comark gave the brooch to the forger "Lucky" Ordomire in exchange for forged salvager permits for the Imperial Trade and Commerce Authority.
