Circuit disrupter
A circuit disrupter was a device for bypassing electronic security mechanisms, such as a door lock or a droid's safeguards protecting classified data. It could also immobilize a droid.
Behind the scenes
In Traitor's Gambit, the device is twice spelled "circuit disrupter" and twice "circuit-disrupter." As the term appears nowhere else in canon, it is impossible to say which spelling is canonically correct.
