Passages is a short story written by Charlene Newcomb that was originally published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 7 by West End Games in August 1995.

Plot summary

After Matt Turhaya loses to Tere Metallo in a sabacc game in Mos Eisley he becomes the co-pilot aboard the Star Quest.

The timeline placement of this tale was left ambiguous on Charlene Newcomb's original timeline however, from Alex Winger's age at the time of her adoption it can be assumed that this tale takes place in 3 or 2 BBY. Though existence of the Alliance to Restore the Republic may seem to indicate it happens in 2 BBY, The Essential Reader's Companion places it in 3 BBY.
