"She's not one of the fancier vessels that are currently on my lot, but she is beyond your standard stock freighter and would serve most any run with high competency."
Fiz Cor'gril trying to sell the ship[src]

The Rogue Runner was a Gymsnor-3 light freighter that was part of the stock of Fizzi's Slightly Used Starships during the Galactic Civil War. The previous owner had modified the ship by adding weapons and shields however the Ion drive was old and needed to be replaced.

Description

Rogue Runner was a modified Gymsnor-3 that was 34.1 meters in length. It boasted an old ion engine capable of reaching speeds of 800 km/h in atmosphere. Its hyperdrive had also been upgraded to a Class 1.0 speed. The backup hyperdrive remained the stock Class 15.0. It had been upgraded to support a deflector shield and was protected by a single turreted heavy blaster cannon. It only required a single crewmember to fly and could carry up to four passengers and had consumables good for a single month. Its cargo bays were slightly smaller then a stock ship due to the added weapons and shield at only 75 metric tons. It came equipped with sensor arrays, lifesupport, and a navicomputer.[1]

Close inspection of the ship revealed that its hull had undergone a lot of stress in the past and that the ion drive was worn and needed to be replaced. When pushed to the limit the engines would blow out and require repairs before the ship could continue to move.[1]

History

While its prior ownership is unknown, during the Galactic Civil War it was for sale by the Bith Fiz Cor'gril at his shop on the planet Trevi IV. He had it for sale for 35,000. A used salesmen through and through, Cor'gril would neglect to mention that the ion engines were on the verge of complete failure.[1]

Behind the scenes

Rogue Runner was designed by John J. Richardson III for the article Fizzi's Slightly Used Starships that was published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 9 in February 1996. It was published as a supplement to Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game created by West End Games.
