ChemDetect

The ChemDetect was a specialized molecular analyzer that could take a sample of the local atmosphere and examine it for hazardous or poisonous compounds. It could also be set to automatically scan and sound an audio or vibratory alarm if it detected anything.

High wind conditions or the presence of numerous non-hazardous chemicals could affect the efficiency of the scanner. When a dangerous compound was detected, the ChemDetect would display information about it.
