Central Core Shaft

The Central Core Shaft was a location on the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station. Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa used a grappling hook to swing across the chasm during the latter's rescue. During the Battle of Yavin, it was destroyed along with the rest of the battlestation.
