The CED8089Y Shields were a device used to create a deflector shield. It was created by Chempat Engineered Defenses during the Galactic Civil War and used several projectors to wrap the ship in energy.

The Jedi Order used a Chempat design on their Savage Star fighters after the New Sith Wars. During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance's Y-wing starfighters were equipped with the technology.
