Byrne City Unified Protectorate
The Byrne City Unified Protectorate, or The Protectorate, was a private law enforcement organization in Byrne City, capital of the planet Demophon. Local Imperial law enforcement was generally restricted to clerical positions, Byrneport, and protecting Governor Illor Ptorc's estate. The rest of law enforcement was handled by The Protectorate.
The Protectorate was sponsored by the myriad corporations of Demophon. Governor Ptorc's excessive laws and ordinances are often regarded as ridiculous by The Protectorate, but they enforced these regulations anyway.[1]
