Totally Patriotic (The Emperor's New Clothes song)
"Totally Patriotic" was a[1] minga-style[2] song by the pro-Imperial musical group The Emperor's New Clothes. The song was featured on the album of the same name, which was available in the galaxy by the time period[1] between the years 0 ABY and 4 ABY.[3] The song was approved by the Imperial Board of Culture, and it was considered one of the band's hits.[1]
"Totally Patriotic" was later parodied by the anti-Imperial group Red Shift Limit, who also released a song called "Totally Patriotic" on their own album with the same name and gave the song a completely different meaning. Red Shift Limit's version was banned by the Imperial Board of Culture.[1]
Behind the scenes
"Totally Patriotic" was first mentioned as part of The Emperor's New Clothes' discography in Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, a supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Simon Smith and Eric Trautmann and published in 1993.[1]
